This is a lovely story written by Marian Varley who died in 1998 when she was 86.  It is the story of her life and family in Leigh, Lancashire.  I am sure anybody brought up in Lancashire will enjoy it, and anyone living in other parts of the World would find it interesting to learn what life was like in Lancashire all those years ago.
