ACTIVITIES FOR OVER 50's

Check your local Leisure Centre as they normally have sessions for the more mature. Details of some of the Leisure Centres are on this website.

The Luncheon Clubs are a good way of meeting people and making friends - and having a reasonably priced meal of course.

Some of the Age Concern Centres have a visiting and befriending service where volunteers offer friendship and support to older people in their own homes, especially those living alone or who are housebound.

U3A groups around the united Kingdom are members of the Third Age Trust. Its main purpose is to encourage lifelong learning for those no longer in full time gainful employment. Visit their website for full information and details of local groups
